Dubai World Cup - A Perfect Win
Pleasantly Perfect, ridden by Alex Solis, won the $6m (£3.3m) Dubai World Cup, the world's richest horse race, at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday.
Following the success of the two D-Cam wireless camera systems that were used for the Dubai World Cup in 2003, Dubai TV used two D-Cams plus two D-Cam 'Clip-on' wireless camera systems for their live coverage of this years event. Both D-Cams were deployed in the Paddock area whilst one of the D-Cam 'Clip-on' systems was used at the start. The second 'Clip-on' was used for interviews in the 'International Village' and also the Paddock.

In addition to the digital wireless camera systems, Gigawave digital links were used to relay SDI signals from gyro-stabilised gimbals in two tracking vehicles and a helicopter.

A third D-Cam was used by facilities company 'Visions' to provide live coverage from the 'International Village' and also the Paddock. A total of five wireless camera systems and three digital links, all of which performed faultlessly.
