'Silent Witness' Maintains Unbroken Record
On the day that the stunning new retractable parade ring roof was officially opened at Sha Tin racecourse, Silent Witness, Hong Kong racing's living legend comfortably won the 'Cathay Pacific International Sprint Trial', worth HK$3 million.
Prior to the day's racing card, 35,000 spectators cheered as Hong Kong Jockey Club Chairman Mr Ronald Arculli celebrated the opening of the spectacular new facilities with a magnum bottle of champagne.
Meanwhile HKJC used their D-Cam wireless camera systems to feed images of the opening ceremony, featuring a brilliant dragon and lion dance performance, onto large video screens.

The all-weather facilities at Sha Tin, as well as the wireless cameras, are considered to be the best in the world.

PGA Tour Gets Chilly Welcome in Korea
American Arron Oberholser earned $1 million in the Shinhan Korea Golf Championship, closing with a 3-under 69 for a two-stroke victory in the first PGA Tour sanctioned challenge season event in Asia.
The Championship forms part of the PGA Tour's 'Challenge Season' - a series of exhibition events that are held once the regular golfing season is over. However, those US players who had forsaken their Thanksgiving Dinner to make the twenty-hour flight to Jeju Island, South Korea, faced less than ideal conditions, with the wind gusting to 40 mph and a temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius.

Despite the conditions, 38 players from nine countries competed for total prize money of $3.55 million in the Shinhan Korea Golf Championship took place at the Jungmun Golf Club, the longest course in Korea.
The wintery conditions did not seem to effect the performance of the D-Cam wireless systems either. As with other major golf tournaments in South Korea this year, the D-Cams were supplied by Wave Communication.
