MTV-D2 Tx
Specification
Compatible Receivers:

MTV-D Series transmitters are fully compatible with other Gigawave products as indicated by a green box in the following table:

PTV-D RX
MVL-D2 RX*
FVL-D RX*
D-Cam TX
D-Cam 'Clip-on' TX
MTV-D2 TX
PTV-D TX
MVL-D2 TX*
FVL-D TX*

*In addition, the 'RF Heads' and 'IF Control Units' that form the primary components of the MVL-D2 and FVL-D 'two-box' systems are also fully interchangeable.
Product Features
The specification of the MTV-D2 encoder is similar to that of the D-Cam 'Clip-on' stand-alone transmitter, The main difference is that the MTV-D2 has a nominal RF outpot of 500mW, compared with 100mW for the 'Clip-on'.

Rugged Housing
The rugged design of the MTV-D is ideally suited to onboard camera and security applications. Machined out of solid metal, the rugged aluminium housing provides exceptional mechanical strength.

MPEG 2 Encoding
The D-Cam features MPEG 2 - 4:2:0/4:2:2 high quality video (DVB standard) encoding.

DVB-T COFDM Modulator
The COFDM modulator can be switched to operate in QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM modes. The corresponding demodulator in the MVL-D2 receiver automatically 'senses' the operating mode.

Optimised RF Performance
Gigawave engineers have completely redesigned the linear up/down converters, IF/RF amplifiers, and power amplifiers that are essential for the higher orders of modulation, such as 64QAM. This has resulted in exceptional performance from a low power (100mW) transmitter.

SDI video input
The D-Cam accepts SDI, YUV,Y/C or composite video (PAL/NTSC)
