MTV Series
Miniature Microwave Transmitter

Gigawave 'Mini' transmitters provide fully synthesised multi-channel RF transmission of broadcast quality video and two programme audio channels in a package the size of a cigarette packet.

The use of surface mount components in a ruggedised aluminium housing makes the MTV transmitter extremely robust and perfect for use in sporting events providing live high quality POV pictures and sound right from where the action is happening.

Gigawave 'mini' transmitters have been used to cover virtually every type of action event from motor sport to camel racing. Despite its size, the MTV series provides all the important functions of a full size transmitter and it is therefore suitable as a building block for larger system requirements such as ENG vehicles and helicopter packages.

MTV Series
Miniature Microwave Receiver

The 'Mini' Receiver has been designed specifically for mobile ENG return video applications, military and security operations. This new design concept takes full advantage of the latest state-of-the-art technology using surface mount components.

The receiver offers a simple modular design consisting of three main boards which can be replaced easily. The unit has been fully tested for high reliability with full vibration and temperature tests. The downconverter design is capable of handling severe incoming signal levels.

The frequency range of the Mini Receiver is available from 1.3 to 13 GHz with sixteen selectable channels. The frequency choice of the sixteen channels are factory programmed together with the two audio channels. The audio output will cater for output levels of up to +9dB.
