| Sales and Marketing For most people, their first contact with Gigawave is to speak to the Gigawave Sales Team. Between them, the UK based sales team are responsible for dealing with all sales enquiries from around the world, as well as Gigawave's extensive network of local agents.
Each day the sales team receives a large number of enquiries from new and existing customers. These enquiries range from an order to supply a simple antenna to requests for Gigawave to submit complex proposals for major projects. In the first instance, whenever Gigawave receive a serious enquiry the company responds with a formal quotation. As soon as the order is received, it is integrated into the production schedule. Before responding to any 'Requests for Proposals' (RFP), the project is discussed in detail by a Bid Team, representing relevant departments, to ensure that the company has the necessary expertise, capacity and/or resources to meet the criteria, as set out in the tender documents.Dealing on a daily basis with overseas customers, the Gigawave sales team understands the business ethics of different clutures, and has become skilled in communicating with customers who speak a variety of languages. Gigawave Regional Sales Offices Until recently, all sales enquiries have been handled by the UK Sales Team, based at the Gigawave Technical Centre, plus a network of Gigawave agents. However, Gigawave now has recently opened new Regional Sales Offices in Hong Kong, covering the Asia/Pacific Rim Region, and South Africa, covering Southern Africa.
In addition to a pure sales function, the sales
team works closely with the Gigawave Customer
Support Team to ensure that customers get the most out of their
Gigawave products. Engineers based at the Gigawave Technical Centre
provide global support , whilst regionally based Customer Support engineers,
such as Raymond Kirkland cover Asia/Pacific Rim and Southern
