F1 pit lane reporter, Louise Goodman, may be used to fast cars but presenting from the passenger seat of a donutting supercar must have been a new experience. Luckily, Gigawave’s On-board camera system was used to broadcast her live onto the big screens at the Autosport International show.
The live arena crowd at Birmingham’s NEC were highly entertained as she was thrown about in the car by stunt driver Terry Grant, who performed hand-brake turns and high-speed skids at the end of each show.
The crowd were also treated to fantastic footage of cars racing on two wheels, and indoor rally’s throughout the four-day Autosport show.

Gigawave’s D-Cam digital Wireless Camera System was there to provide trackside coverage of the various mini-races incorporated into the high-octane show.

When David Beckham is in town, only the best will do, which is why Gigawave’s HD D-Cam Wireless Camera System was called in to cover the football match between LA Galaxy and Sydney FC in Australia.
BnC, a Gigawave rental partner in Australia supplied the HD D-Cam, which was used with the Sony HDC1500 camera that was supplied through Cuttingedge.

Despite only being a friendly match, over 80,000 fans filled Sydney’s Telstra Stadium to watch Beckham and his Galaxy teammates slump to a 5-3 defeat at the hands of local side, Sydney FC, in coach Ruud Gullit’s first game in charge.

They did however see Beckham do what he does best, score with a trademark free kick, despite injuring his troublesome ankle in the early exchanges.

Beckham wasn’t the only star on display, as the Gigawave HD D-Cam provided superb high-definition footage and robust performance throughout the match.

Gigawave helps MotoGP clinch award
MotoGP has won the Best Sports Content For Mobiles Award at the prestigious Sportel Monaco 2007 Golden Podium Awards. The winning footage was provided by Gigawave’s Digital On-board systems and was a montage of the best on-board action shots from Casey Stoner’s Ducati as he clinched the World Championship at the Grand Prix of Japan.
An international jury of sports and media experts picked ‘2007 MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner’ as the best footage in the category.

MotoGP has used the latest Gigawave Digital On-board Systems since the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai back in May this year, and the results have been spectacular with 100% track coverage without the use of a relay helicopter.
The winning on-board footage from Stoner’s Championship winning Ducati was even more impressive as it had full track coverage despite the Motegi Circuits long tunnels, which were no match for Gigawave's digital systems.
